Had written up a new post on this topic and somehow it disappeared when I was halfway through, so I apologize if two show up when I submit this latest draft.
Anyway, I have been giving the Color > Negative transform a try and think I have figured out the color relationship when moving each of the Red, Green and Blue sliders.
However, the Manual states that these sliders also let you adjust the overall brightness of the image. Is there a general rule of thumb on how moving each (or a combination of more than one) of the sliders affects the image brightness?
Thanks,
Marv

Re: Color > Negative
Lower gamma values make the image brighter - if you move all three at once all three channels are lightened or darkened. Moving just one alters the color balance, especially in the midtones.
