LAB in Photoshop equivalent?

LAB in Photoshop equivalent?
I have been doing some reading on Dan Margulis work in Photoshop using the LAB mode and am wondering if we have something equivalent in PWP? Thanks!
Re: LAB in Photoshop equivalent?
The advantage of the LAB color space is that the brightness value of the pixel is separated from its color values. PWP's default HSV space does the same thing, as does the alternative HSL space. V or L values represent brightness along different axes.
Re: LAB in Photoshop equivalent?
Thanks, now I need to study PWP more. Another question for the forum, is there going to be an easier way to display member photos processed with PWP? The current one is great for discussion but displaying photos seems a little difficult compared to some of the other forums I frequent. Thanks !
Re: LAB in Photoshop equivalent?
The huge problem with Lab is that it is very easy to create out of gamut or even physically unrealizable colors such as really bright blues. HSL is the closest equivalent in PWP and does not have this problem.
