How to halt multiple file open in progress?

I tried to drag several files from Browse to a Workflow. Somehow I managed to open them. Each file asks me for a workspace conversion confirmation (that's how it's set in preferences). There is a few hundreds of them... Can I make them stop, apologize for mistake and start over again, as if nothing happened?

Unfortunately no. The progress bar and cancel are per image.
An overall progress bar may be hard to shoehorn into the present progress bar design but perhaps we could add a confirm for open operations over some number of images.
