Something that I've noticed going back and forth between PWP revs to troubleshoot problems is that upon loading an install of PWP the Alt_menu_acceleration_disabler remains unloaded until a re-boot.

Since the final step of an install is a dialog box prompting the user to run PWP (with that selection set as default), when one does run the program from that point the Alt_menu_acceleration_disabler is not running.

This info is tucked away in the Help, but it may be beneficial to recommend a re-boot before running PWP from the final install dialog box. (And maybe change or remove the default check-mark, or reload the Alt_menu_acceleration_disabler automatically at the end of the install).

It ended up being easier to remove this from the installer and just launch it when PWP starts up.
