Composite transformation - initial alignment points

I think it would be handy to have a button in the Composite transformation that would take the locations of the current alignment points for the Input image, and just copy their locations onto the Overlay image. That would provide an initial approximation to go on.
I often need to warp a colour image to match it up with a monochrome image from infrared. It can be tedious, but this would help.
