Change Profile

Post by Robert Schleif »

It may be good to add "Change Profile" to the list of possibilities displayed after clicking on "Transformation" and highlighting "Color".

Currently it is listed under Gray because, unlike PWP 7, PWP 8 can set profiles for black and white as well as color images. I could potentially list it in both menus although that might be equally confusing.

Since you would get to the same transformation from either the gray or color routes, listing in multiple locations to me seems more helpful than confusing.

By that reasoning, every transformation under Gray would also be listed under Color.

That is a problem with most of the "Gray-"Transformations. They work with color and b/w images.
The "Color-"Transformations just work with color images.
So the word "gray" might be misleading. But I don't have an idea for a better one.

For the next release, I moved Change Profile out of Gray to the next higher level of the menu.

With logic appreciated, I would like to point out that the Transformation menu is getting pretty long - but that's all good as Quick Pick is a life-saver!
