Re: All Good Things Come to an End

I first heard about PWP on the old Compuserve photo forum. PWP was said to be designed to be used by photographers so I tried it and liked what I saw. And have been using it ever since. I don't know just when I started using it, but that first CD came with something to do a rudimentary monitor calib...

Re: Mouse Wheel

You can get mouse wheel scrolling back by clicking on the scroll button in the tool bar. When the button is up, the mouse wheel scrolls - when the button is down it adjusts to clone brush size. Didn't know there was a scroll button. So I went looking but with no success. I even searched for scroll ...

Mouse Wheel

I spend a lot of time restoring old photos using the clone tool at 1:1. Previously I would use the mouse wheel to move up and down in a vertical slice of the 1:1 view. But now the mouse wheel adjusts the size of the clone tool. How about an option to get the scrolling operation back? The mouse wheel...

Re: multithreaded workflow

Workflows fail on some of the images unless I have Do Not Multitask selected. Remembering the beta problem in that area I assumed you hadn't got around to fixing it yet. What is the status of this now?

I'm using 64 bit 6.0.9 with Core i7 920 running Windows 7 64 bit.

Re: How to remove this

Thanks for the suggestions. I know from past experience that speck removal looks awful when set for large pixel sizes. While you can't really see it from the small excerpt, the original image has a texture that the scanner picked up from the original. Techniques that use blurring lose that and stand...

How to remove this

I usually use cloning to remove unwanted things from images. But it is sometimes a struggle because there is no good place to clone from that matches. This excerpt shows an example I'm working on. I want to remove the out of focus door frame in the background. I can't get good results with cloning. ...

Re: Dark Prints

Got it and prepared a monitor curve adjustment.

The difference in file name between the help file and the Q13 file kept me looking for something else.

Re: Dark Prints

I can't find the Gray Wedge 15 file on my system or in the download area. I see that someone else asked where to find it, but the answer given didn't make sense to me:

Re: Dark Prints

Thanks Kiril.

I will print the gray wedge target and experiment with monitor curves.

My image is supposed to be dark and moody. However it came out a little too dark, especially for display in a not too bright room.

Dark Prints

Some time back in reply to a query about dark prints, a forthcoming version 5 feature was said to help with this.

Now that version 5 is out and I have a dark print I would like to know what is the best way to deal with this in version 5.
