JPEG File Conversion Size
I converted the same TIFF file to JPEG in PWP and DXO with both conversions set at 100% quality. The DXO JPEG file is 50% larger than the PWP file. Any comments. Will it make any real difference to save the files using DXO other than chewing up more hard drive space?

I am one who has used PWP for the whole 23 years. I still have a hard copy of the Picture Window Version 1.0 User's Guide. Much of it is still applicable. I am truly going to miss this getting updates to PWP (I will most likely continue to use it for many years) and this message board for all of its...

I assume one set is for sharpen as it always has been which should be the two sliders to the far left and the other set at the far right I assume is for halo reduction. With the above being ...

Re: Changining file types, "-1" designation
I would suggest you download a copy of PWPro 64 from the website and use that instead of what you have on your computers. That way you get what I have.

Re: Changining file types, "-1" designation
I just tried it again with a tiff file for which there was no corresponding jpeg file. When I went to save the tiff file it immediately added the "-1" to the name. However, it did not delete the "-1" when I changed the file type to jpeg.

Re: File Assocations
Will do that but it looks like the manual should be revised.

Re: Changining file types, "-1" designation
The file I had before my computer crashed did not have these problems. The file I downloaded today does.
