Advice on automating a catalogue of artifacts
I need to photograph a relatively large number of relatively small artifacts/antiques (glasses, statues, figurines etc.). It's to catalogue them. The images are for explanatory purpose and have no artistic value, but I still want them to be presented semi-decently. The ad-hoc 'studio' consist of eit...

Re: feature request : caption for masks
One workaround of sorts in the quest to figure out which mask is which is to create masks within the Masks transformation and reference them by numbers in the Masks comments.

Re: Feature request : Transformation Gamma adjust inverse
Would simply choosing say 0.45 (the inverse exponent or 1/2.22 = 0.45) on the slider do what you need?

Re: Split processing
Would you be able to post or link the full test image on which you tested the Split prototype? Or maybe a complex fragment of it? The small image from the linked post is not that difficult to split-adjust with the Two-Zone transformation (acceptably to my eye). I haven't tried it yet, but the Color ...

Re: Split processing
Yes. I've been reading it, but I still don't get what's the fundamental qualitative or practical or visual difference in treating the boundary between zones in this transformation vs. how it's done in other zone-like transformations.

Re: New installation on a new Win10Pro computer
Thank you! I more or less followed the recipe and I think I now have the special folders Documents, Desktop, and Pictures on the local HD and unattached to OneDrive. I somehow lost some files when I was moving files back to PC from the OneDrive - folders moved, but some other files didn't, but that'...

Split processing
I'm a bit late on this, but I'm reading the PDF and trying to understand what split is generally doing. I'm still far from getting it, but can I be helped a bit with the big picture. Splitting images by masking, brightness or hue into zones that are processed separately is used implicitly by other t...

PWP icon on Windows taskbar
Not that it bothers me, but I noticed that when a new version of PWP is installed the PWP shortcut that I dragged to the Windows taskbar disappears and I need to place it there again.

Re: New installation on a new Win10Pro computer
Yes, somehow I configured the Windows 10 Pro so that Documents are on the One Drive (Preferences are stored locally). Does it mean that Documents etc. are in the cloud and there is no copy stored locally (i.e. do I have to be online to access it?). Would Portable Installation solve this problem? But...

New installation on a new Win10Pro computer
Could I be reminded what files do I need to copy from the old computer (Win10Personal) to the new one so that the PWP settings are the same on both? I was wondering if Create Portable Installation wouldn't be the way to go (as opposed to new installation and copying the setup files where they need t...
