Thanks so much seemed to work with curves but not selective color. As soon as I went to the cube to select a color the readout lost focus or so it seemed....

Regarding the read out. I agree your eyes should be your best tool but for tweaking skin tones or to generally evaluate how you are shifting the RGB balance in a selected area it can be useful. There are several charts with lab values for skin and it is nice to use these. I didn't see a lab tone cur...

I think I may have had up to 3 sets of values...there was the old ones from 2011 that came with ArgyllCMS, I had the pdf from Datacolor, I also had data from dcamprof or rather its paid version Lumariver that contained also wavelengths.

Did you update the values in PWP8 to reflect your measurments...sounds like you should ...I would measure mine if I had the hardware...that is interesting.....
