Couldn't PWP8 checkerboard accept a cell size of 1, while disallowing a total image size of 1x1

Very good news !

It would be convenient to let the user customize the coordinates. Two suggestions follow Suggestion #1 The vertical origin could be placed at the top or at the bottom of the image. Suggestion #2 The origin could be defined as an index of zero or one. Thus, the top left pixel could be [0,0] or [1,1] ...

An 8x8 grid does not align with actual pixels.

Scenario : create an 8x8 image, only 7x7 is shown.

The checkerboard does not accept cell size 1 : when 1 is entered, it uses two instead.

The paint tool snaps to bottom left of pixel.

It is difficult to use at high magnification.
The paint tool should have an option to snap on pixel center, or snap on pixel center by default.

Crosshairs highlight the pixel color at its center. This color does not match the readout numerical RGB data.

See example, showing an 8x8 image, the crosshair on a green pixel, and the readout giving 255,255,255, that is white.
