Re: Transformations with thresholds : feathering to smoothen transition artifacts
In those cases where I have implemented this I have found it does not work nearly as well as one might wish. Another approach to deal with this is to create a mask using the Mask Texture Tool and use this to sharpen only textured areas. By using a mask you have a lot of processing options such as f...

Re: Transformations with thresholds : feathering to smoothen transition artifacts
I was thinking of feathering or blurring as found in the Gray Zone transformations. Mask from texture detection : lower and higher limits
In the advanced sharpening tool, there are lower and higher limits for defining the textured areas: Histogram The histogram display just below the Sharpen Amount slider lets you perform selective sharpening by including only those neighbor pixels in the computations that differ by more or less than ...

Multi-pass sharpen : Amount control and display preview

Re: plugin DXO Filmpack 6 grayed out
As an initial implementation, the integration of external apps does not need to be complex, or "remembered" in the workflow. It could simply be an option similar to "save", whereby external image files are created, as usual, and then provided as input to an external program, defi...

Re: plugin DXO Filmpack 6 grayed out
PWP does not if fact support Photoshop plugins -- just those that include a stand-alone application that it can invoke. This makes it difficult to create a universal plug-in interface. I would very much appreciate if PWP could include an open interface to external apps like Nikon NX Studio or DxO P...

Re: Feature request : Warp transformation with horizontal and vertical leveling
... In the case of an alignment quadrilateral, something similar to the composite transformation for overlays with 4 alignment points, which can be refined, would be quite useful.

Transformations with thresholds : feathering to smoothen transition artifacts
For example, when using Multi-pass sharpening with blur and sharpen thresholds : Is there a way to avoid the grainy artifacts at the transition between zones defined by thresholds ? If not, would it be possible to implement feathering in those transformations, with feathering control in the dialog b...

Re: plugin DXO Filmpack 6 grayed out
It would be useful to let the user define plug-ins without intervention by the developer. This is how Nikon Studio and DxO Photolab interface with external programs.

Re: Finding Old Files
If you are willing to use cloud services, an application such as Google Photos allows to upload all photos starting from certain directory folders. Then, you will be able to use Google Photos AI search to find people by name, things and places, and specify date ranges. The returned images can be ins...
