Thank you Kiril. I will investigate saving the file as RAW TIF, which is an option of Vuescan. There is no option to save the file as a positive DNG. Since the Faststone viewer appears to convert to a positive image, I imagine there must be a tag that indicates the file is of a negative.... Thank yo...
