Re: RAW Converters?
I used to use Nikon's free ViewNX to manage my photos and then send them to CaptureNX for processing. Minor adjustments to be made in PWP when necessary. Printing in Qimage. Slideshows in Pictures-to-Exe. Now I use Lightroom and it does the cataloging (excellent), Raw conversion (very good), printin...

Re: Camera Profiles
I tried using this program and there is an error message for nearly every profile that I try to open. Are there any other options?

Camera Profiles
I have camera profiles for my Nikon D1H and D2H created by Mike Chaney, the developer of Qimage. In the "Advanced Features" tab of the RAW dialogue it recognizes these two profiles. However, it does not recognize a profile for my D70 that was not created by Mike. UFRaw recognizes this prof...

Re: Three Stage Sharpening
Hi Den:
When time permits, a posting on your web site with examples of each of these three stages would be most helpful. I have benefited greatly from your tutorials in the past.
Thanks,
Chris

Lens Corrections
http://www.photozone.de posts coefficient and scale numbers with its lens reviews for PWP. How do I apply these in the lens correction feature of PWP?
Thanks,
Chris

Re: Black and White in PS
Den and Bob: Thanks for your replies. Den, I have seen Greg Gorman's info and he has also produced a PS action for it. I have also read your info. Both are very informative. Bob, I completely agree with you about B&W. For many of my images, no one approach is satisfactory (as is also the case fo...

Black and White in PS
Ken Rockwell posted a simple, but interesting, black and white method for Photoshop using "calculations" (http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/photoshop/b-w.htm). Wonder how this might translate into PWP. Have tried the Red channel overlayed with itself in the "Composite" transformati...

Re: Vibrancy
A final report from me on the matter. Again, my thanks to the generous replies to my original posts. Based on the feedback from the posts I compared a method in PWP with the vibrancy slider in the Lightroom 2.3. In PWP I extracted the HSV-S channel and converted to 8-bit to make mask. I then applied...
