Re: Frames, mattes and profiles
One tiny other Mat issue. I change the size of the image in the Mat transformation to, say 12" @ 300 dpi I save the completed frame, mat and image I open the resize transformation The image is now 72" @ 100 dpi (should be 24@300 including wall, frame, outer and inner mats) Of course it is ...

Re: PWP 6 Released
Den, I am held hostage by a whole country in terms of internet speed - total disaster. However I did retry and finally succeeded in getting a good copy. I use free download manager for all my downloads as that usually (but unsuccesfully this time) restarts and recovers interrupted downloads if the s...

Re: PWP 6 Released
I am having problems installing the documentation. I get an error that says "The cabinet file disk1.cab is corrupted and cannot be used..." My MSI file is 69 533 696 bytes. Is it really corrupt or is there a problem with the documentation? I live on a VERY slow line so hope not to have to ...

Re: Chromatic Aberration causes said aberration on edges
Thanks Jonathan,
I guessed it was part of teh transformation. Best to leave it until all is finsihed then crop - no problem.

Chromatic Aberration causes said aberration on edges
When I use the chromatic aberration widget to do a small neagtive red shift, it works beautifully on my photo but sadly adds a cyan border to the left and top of my image. It is easy to get rid of by cropping but I am sure it is an unintended side effect of the transformation. Hopefully you can see ...

Re: New beta update posted
This may be because the default path for installation is:
C:\Program Files\Digital Light & Color\Picture Window Pro 64 v6.0\Digital Light & Color\Picture Window Pro 6.0
This seems a rather convoluted set of empty folders before you get to the interesting bit!

Re: PWP6 Browser: 'Extract Jpeg Image' option question
Kiril, Very very interesting. My camera (Canon 5D MkII) extracts a full resolution 21 MP image. Seems excellent. Now I have to do some tests to see if all the camera settings are used in that JPEG. I would expect the answer to be "yes" and so there is no need for a Raw + JPEG. It would be ...

Re: PWP 6.0
As I head for bed it is only an hour and a half before the end of September. I dread the amount of perfect picture processing I need to do in the coming days.
Any update on PWP 6 public beta??

Re: TFT monitor
I have recently bought a HP LP2475W which is H-IPS and it has changed my life. At first I struggled with callibration but once I turned the brightness right down, it has been absolutely wonderful. Wide gamut, great colours and a joy to work on. No complaints at all but I hear that the 22 inch versio...
