Re: PWP and graphics tablets
Interesting to read the various experiences ;-) I use a Wacom Graphire 3 with PWP and prefer it over using the mouse. I find the odd difficulty that Lorin mentions (with Windows 7) most annoying, however. If anyone knows a way to switch it off, please tell me. There are more issues with the tablet ...

Re: PWP and graphics tablets
I've used a basic Wacom tablet with Picture Window, and it works well enough, though it wouldn't for instance be pressure sensitive. On Windows Vista or 7 there is an odd difficulty (having to do with Windows not PWP ) where every time the pen touches the tablet it makes little circles. Supposedly th...

Re: Why has yellow printed as blue?
Dieter and Jonathan,
Thanks very much for your thoughts. I have reinstalled the printer driver and am working along those lines of your suggestions to troubleshoot. So far, the problem has not come up again when printing and I'm hopeful it will be ok now going forward.

Why has yellow printed as blue?
I’ve been having an occasional printing problem that doesn’t directly concern Picture Window, as I use a separate printing program, but it hasn’t been possible to gain any useful knowledge on this difficulty from manufacturers, printing forums, et al and I would be grateful for any assistance in tro...

Re: Calendar Creation problem
Thanks, Kiril. The calendar transformation has worked successfully by converting the 16-bit tif to an 8-bit tif.
This differs, however, from PWP 5.0 where the calendar transformation can readily handle the larger tifs.

Calendar Creation problem
It hasn't been possible to successfully create a calendar from a tif. The first time I tried, after setting the parameters for the calendar, the computer froze attempting to process it. It was necessary to use task manager to close out of the PWP 6 beta. A message appeared to the effect that Windows...

Re: Printer
I had a Pixma 9000 when starting digital photography, and while it was a well made printer, Canon's dye inks won't, in all likelihood last well, especially with matte papers (Canon's glossy and lustre papers may encapsulate the inks and enhance their longevity, but then if one is serious about print...

Computers and alacrity
A question regarding computer capability with PWP - In the 3-zone contrast transformation, for instance, there can be a good amount of going back and forth among the values for contrast, brightness and saturation for each of 3 zones. And, for each of these, the computer will generally want to rumina...
