Confirm Profile Conversion

The Confirm Profile Conversion dialog box is displayed when you open a file whose embedded profile is not the same as the working color space and the Color Management Settings are configured to ask when a mismatch is detected. The working color space is also set via the Color Management Settings command.

This dialog box displays the pathname of the file you are opening, the name of the profile (if any) embedded in the file and the name of the working color space.

Cancel -- cancel the File Open operation.

Don't Convert -- open the file, assigning the embedded profile to the image.

Convert -- open the file and convert the image to the working color space. The file is not altered in any way by the conversion.

Generally it is a good idea to convert all images to a working color space when opening them as this ensures that RGB values in all images have a single, consistent interpretation.
