To create a drop shadow on a uneven surface, or to make the object creating the shadow appear leaning away from the surface, distort the shadow image with Warp, Fan or Lens Distortion Transformation. So you can make the shadow follow a curved object. In my example pictures i used a plain white background, to visualize the effect more clear. In picture one the shadow is just processed with Warp, to let the text lean forward from the background,  while in picture two Lens Distortion was used additionally to simulate a curved background.
