Local contrast enhancement has been much discussed on these boards. Recently, I have developed a method that appears to be satisfactory. Any feedback is appreciated. Create a mid-tone density mask, ala Den's three-tone procedure. Open original image into Composite transformation. Attach mask to the input image to protect highlights and shadows. Overlay the image with itself in Soft Light mode with slider set at about 50%. That's it. - Chris |
