Custom Halftone Screens
Continuous sound for your Slide Show
Normally, when you add music to your slides, each slide has its own track. When the slide changes, its track stops playing
and the track for the new slide (if any) starts. The HTML file in this download allows you to play a single track across all slides. Here is how
you use this file:
-
Download launch.zip, extract the html file and place it into the same folder in which you saved your slide show.
-
Display the file in a simple text editor such as Notepad. You will need to modify two links.
-
Modify music_file.mp3 to the full path name of the music file you want to play. The type of file depends on what your browser
supports. The track is set to repeat indefinitely. If you want to play the track a specific number of times instead, modify infinite
to the number of repetitions desired.
-
Modify slide_show.html to your slide show's filename.
- Save the file.
To play your slide show, double click on Launch.html. Then click on the Start Slideshow link to start the show.

Color Line Files
Color line files
can be used with any transformation that includes a Color Line control,
most commonly the Gray/Tint and Gradient transformations. To apply a color
line file, click the Opt button just to the right of the Color Line control
and select Load... from the options menu.
A collection of color line (.cln) files is available
for download as a single ZIP archive file. If you download this file you
will need to extract the images from the archive. Under Windows XP, you
can do this simply by double clicking on the file and dragging the images
to a new folder. Under earlier versions of Windows, you may need additional
software such as WinZip to open ZIP
files.

Random Texture Files
Random texture files
can be used as custom screens with the Special Effects/Halftone transformation
to create mezzotint effects. Random texture files can also be used to
create masks for use with the Gray/Brightness transformation to apply
texture to images. When used for this purpose, the textures must be extended
as necessary (using the Special Effects/Tile transformation) to equal
or exceed the size of the input image and then cropped to match the exact
size of the input image.
A collection of black and white texture files (distributed
as TIFF files) is available for download as a single ZIP archive file.
If you download this file you will need to extract the images from the
archive. Under Windows XP, you can do this simply by double clicking on
the file and dragging the images to a new folder. Under earlier versions
of Windows, you may need additional software such as WinZip
to open ZIP files.
