"MSVR80.DLL is not a valid Windows image"

Hello

win2k sp3

I have just installed PWP Pro 5.0 for the first time using the 5.0.1.4 version downloaded from the website.

When I run PWP, I get a BAD IMAGE error.

"... \picture window pro 5.0\msvcr80.dll is not a valid windows image"

I have downloaded again and installed it again, but the error is the same.

The offending file's size is 822784 bytes, MD5 hash 465cebd7da2ceaba5e552fc9118a1415

I think bad image is pretty fundamental. So I can only suppose that the people successfully using this version, already had a valid copy on their system.

Of course, since Windows error messages rarely have anything to do with the real problem, it could be trying to tell me to update something else!

Any suggestions?

I have found that I have a valid version of the dll on my PC, so deleting the one installed by PWP fixes the problem.

The size of the valid one is 626688 bytes

They both have the same modification date 23 September 2005.

Maybe yours has acquires a virus.
