Hi

When I use flood fill I often get small specks iside the selected portion. This is "normal" given the nature of the flood fill, but annoying to get rid of.

What's the best technique to add to stray pixels? (Completely surrounded by the selection.)

To cover spots in a mask i usually use the paint tool in mask, a non transparent brush with no softness, size quiet big (depends a lot on the structure of the masked area, of course).
So the area can be painted out quiet roughly and the spots are filled.
Sometimes it's hard to distinguish the specks from the background, in such cases i like to finish the mask tool, so a mask image is created, and then using the paint tool from PWP on the mask image directly, the spots are easily to see with the black / white - contrast.

I use the first technique also, but it's labour intensive and sometimes tricky.
For the second technique, it's possible to see only the mask while making it, no need to finish the mask first. The option is right under the apply button.

EDIT : I'm looking for a faster and more foolproof way.

I offen use the feather tool with the Failoff Step and a Feather Width of 1 or 2 until the specks are gone.
Then I use a negativ Feather Width to decrease the mask again.

Is clever and hooks handy, at least on a first test picture.
