Default Composition Guide

I know this worked in v4, but I never got around asking how to do this in v5: when I select a composition guide, the selection is not permanent, even within one session.
Now in v5 I hoped the 'Save As Default' option would do it, but it does not safe the Composition Guide either.
Is there a way to keep a Composition Guide in the Dialog box when gong from image to image?

Thanks

Composition guides only affect the display and do not affect the operation of the crop transformation in any way. The default settings and the workflow only preserve settings which affect the outcome of the transformation.

Hallo Oliver, schön hier einen Landsmann zu treffen :)

According to Kiril it does not work to save the settings, but if you have one ore tw prefered settings, you can put them on the top of the list by simply editing the PWCompositionGuides.txt file in PWPs main folder.
Just open it in a text editor and move the block with the desired definition, from begin_object to end_object, each inclusive, to the desired position in the list.
So, if it is not permanent, it saves some scrolling in the list.

...or you could "Combing [Combining] Composition Guides". See: http://www.dl-c.com/board/viewtopic.php ... =guide#p61...

Thanks Kiril, Den & Dieter,
Den & Dieter had done both of your suggestions before, I just remember that in v4 the last selection stayed active within one PWP session.
And I find it repeatedly quite annoying not to have that anymore.
It seems to be easy for me to ignore a composition guide that's loaded for no reason; at least much easier than loading one each time when I want to use one.

Hallo Dieter, Schöne Grüße zurück in the Heimat.
