remap black to red?

Post by bbodine9 »

I am having trouble getting a black and white tiff file (converted from PDF) that is a construction drawing showing piling locations to change colors. I need to change the black circles representing the piling to red so that I can overlay it with the proposed new piling and print it on a large format color plotter to look for overlaps etc. Both remap and color correction do not seem to be working for me. Can someone offer a suggestion? Thanks in advance!

If it truly a Black & White image (8- or 16-bit) it will need to be converted to either 24- or 48-bit Colour. (Convert Transformation).

Did you try Tint ?
Set it for a gradient from red to white instead of the default black to white.
If you want keep some parts black you would need to mask them out (you will have to do that with any solution, i guess)

Color correction also will work (with mask), but you then need to increase the brightness to the desired level.

Adjusting Chroma/Brightness radii (and perhaps Tightness as well) in Remap transformation should do the trick (without masking).
