An update is available to Version 8.0.174 (22-Nov-2020)
The changes (taken from the update log) are:
Added some new camera and lens profiles. Rebuilt all camera profiles after creating a custom reference file for my ColorChecker SG.
Create Lens Profile command: minor adjustment to certain thresholds to improve registration point recognition for images less than full brightness.
Fixed problem of displaying ampersands as underscores in filenames in captions in the main image area and some other cases.
New document available: Image Stitching for Panoramas.pdf.
Fixed problem on startup occasionally causing a second instance to be created when PWP was launched multiple times in rapid succession.

Can I suggest one more for your list of stitching software options? Microsoft ICE is very good, offers powerful editing choices and is free.

It is particularly smart about human figures, I have used this successfully to take panoramas of large groups of people and rarely end up with any two-headed results.

Thanks, I added ICE and Hugin to the software list for the next update.
My main complaint about ICE is that it always output 24-bit color images even if you give it 48-bit images to stitch.
