Re: Update Available - Version 8.0.174
Can I suggest one more for your list of stitching software options? Microsoft ICE is very good, offers powerful editing choices and is free. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/product/computational-photography-applications/image-composite-editor/ It is particularly smart about human figures, I...

Re: odd effect in Levels and Color
Sounds like you have the right idea Maciej. I cropped out a small section (reducing the total number of pixels) and the effect goes away (or at least is reduced so I don't notice it...).
I've sent a couple of images to Jonathan.
Thanks for the support.

Re: odd effect in Levels and Color
The only settings file in the Levels and Color folder is: Previous.levels and color I renamed it, and tried again, but no change - same effect. This is what the file settings are: levels_and_color 0 colorspace 1 dynamic_range 1 auto_wb 0 v1 1 v2 168 brightness 0 contrast 0 saturation 0 colorbal_remo...

Re: odd effect in Levels and Color
No, they're not on. I tried with them on and off and there's no difference.
I use Levels and Color almost all the time, and this is the first time I've seen this effect.
To be clear, this is what I see when I first open L & C, with no adjustments at all.

odd effect in Levels and Color
Hi, Just noticed this today as I was editing some snapshots of Mars. Because it's such a pin-point, this effect really stands out. Open Levels and Color to default settings, and Mars becomes quite hazy and blurry, without any alterations in the transformation. pwp_LC_001.jpg I don't notice this effe...

Re: Auto WB in Color Balance vs. Levels and Color
Just a couple of comments/questions about Levels and Color, and DR/WB. When I launch L&C, the DR is set to full black (the white slider is located to the far left, with the black slider). The Settings indicate "Don't set Dynamic Range / White Balance on new image". Clicking either the ...

Re: Brightness Curve and Advanced mode
First, thank you for pointing out Advanced Mode for the Brightness Curve transformation Maciej, I had not found it yet.
One suggestion is to save the transformation with your favourite settings in advanced mode as a Snippet.
I really like Snippets...
