Re: New mask and Flood Fill
(Don't you ever sleep?) Excellent, thank you. I am really warming up to the changes in the mask tools. It's funny, I was showing a friend how to accomplish something in PWP 7 the other day, and I spent all the time coercing them to download PWP 8... I remembered how I thought I*'d be happy with ver ...

Re: New mask and Flood Fill
Ah, yes, I get it. I just have to break away from my old habits... No changes necessary.

New mask and Flood Fill
So I've had a few more tries with the new mask functionality, and I have found that using the "Flood Fill" tool is now not as smooth as it was. Before, clicking once with the tool would select a certain amount of the image, and subsequent clicks would accumulate, or add to the first select...

Re: Update Available - Version 8.0.123
I really like the changes to the mask tools, seems very intuitive. Don't know where you get your inspiration from, but I really appreciate your attention to details like this. Thank you.

Re: Off-Topic -- Images
Thank you for the kind words. As a retired portrait photographer I'm glad to know my skills are transferable... I certainly have had more time than ever to take a closer look at the world right outside my door, literally. I've also been going back through my catalogue and finding new gems to polish....

Re: Off-Topic -- Images
Well, I'm impressed! Great to see what you've been up to, and I'm pretty impressed with your IR images. "4/5" is especially good, in my opinion. The presentation gallery works just fine. I'd prefer some way to zoom in a little on the images, but it's clean and easy to navigate as is. For w...

Re: PNG question
Solved. "Operator Error" - Thanks to Jonathan for reminding me to use the "Save As" button in the Transparent PNG transformation window, instead of the "File Save As" option on the main menu.

Re: PNG question
David at Fotosketcher says 32 bits per pixel are required.
When I open a PNG in Firefox, this is what I see: I didn't think the checkered background would be visible?

Re: PNG question
Apparently not. I had a problem with creating brushes for use with the software (fotosketcher.com - Painting 4 custom brush), and the programmer said my PNG file was not 32-bit (so I'm taking his word for it.). I made a few brushes with Paint.net, which gives the option to chose the bit-depth when s...

PNG question
Just curious, is there any chance of being able to save a 32-bit transparent PNG? Another software requires 32-bit files to use brushes when creating painting effects.
Thanks
